The Melba Spiegeltent is based at the Circus Oz home in Collingwood at 35 Johnston Street. Standing tall since 1910 when it was built in Belgium, this grand old dame can boast Edith Piaf as one of the performers walking through its bevelled doors in the '20s and 30's. It was renamed after Australia's very own opera soprano, Dame Nellie Melba and had its Circus Oz debut in January 2011. This charming and beautiful venue continues to shine with festivals, rehearsals, shows, arts and community events and is available for both corporate and private hire.
Teeming with shows from 25 May to 22 June, be sure to experience the Spiegeltent and catch some amazing shows at the same time. Date night and fun times comes to mind.

Bloomsday: Getting up James Joyce's Nose - Making Scents of Ulysses. Wow, that's a title and a half, but a full-on bizarre and confronting new play in celebration of Joyce's classic novel, Ulysses. It focusses on the smelly world of Dublin 1904 so hold your noses as it goes from a breakfast kidney fry-up to the reek of Dublin streets and the bodily odours of Joyce's characters. Coming to the Melba for the first time, a steampunk aesthetic has been created for the production. A sight to see for sure, so don't miss out for this performance running over 5 days only from 14 to 18 June 2017. BOOK NOW!
