A fun way to promote water savings, head to Melbourne Museum, 11 Nicholson St, Carlton with the family from Saturday 6 to Monday 22 April 2019 from 11am to 3pm and be a Shower Superstar! This event is included in the cost of a ticket for museum entry. The museum is open every day from 10am to 5pm, except on Good Friday and Christmas Day, when they're closed.
Pick up the microphone and choose from a list of songs which are four minutes long, or less. Either sing along or simply dance along on the sides. Think shorter showers and how it shouldn't be any longer than the song you're singing. Proudly sponsored by City West Water, South East Water and Yarra Valley Water, empower the next generation of water saving heroes by making water saving fun.
A great activity for the upcoming school holidays, the kids can jump in the shower and belt out a tune and/or decorate a bathroom tile to take home to put in their shower. The tiles are sticky and pull apart, so while one part goes home with you as a reminder to save water, the other will decorate the museum's foyer. Melbourne is growing but the amount of water on earth isn't. You'd be amazed at how much shaving one minute off your shower can do for our world. Together we can all make a difference. Timing your shower to a 4 minute song is a great idea, so why not implement this water saving (and money saving) habit at home.
