This is a very comfortable and relaxing walk near the Sydney harbour. It all starts from Circular Quay station. If you're bored of the Opera House and all that, make a left turn (instead of right) and head towards the cruise terminal. Continue to walk straight so that you reach the quieter the part of the area and you'll see Grand Hyatt Hotel in a distance.
This is where you should start tracking up a grass field where you'll see a few cannons. From there, you should find yourself standing at Lower Fort Street. Stay on this street for 10 minutes and you'll find the entrance to the Sydney Observatory House

Track down the slope which leads to the exit and you'll be standing at Kent Street. Follow the signs and they'll lead you to Barangaroo. By this time, you should be able to fit in some afternoon tea and a cup of coffee and enjoy the modern buildings situated in the heart of this business district.
