The best LGBTQI plays from Short & Sweet 2017 season

In a play curated by Wayne Tunks, Short + Sweet brings the best of the LGBTQI plays from the Short & Sweet 2017 to one show!

'Dress Ups' written and directed by Graham Yates follows the story of a married man, who has a secret life when his wife is out at Pilates. 'We all like to play. But be careful which game you choose.'

'Queerachy' written by Zoe Brinnard and directed by Megan Shooter, follows the story of four people out nightclubbing in search for what's right, wrong, and everything in between.

'8 Months & 17 Days' written and directed by Wayne Tunks, follows the story of Jason and Rohan - how they met and fell in love, and the heartache that soon follows.

'Beard' written by Erin Middleton and Robert Miniter, directed by Lawrence Fooley, follows the story of two young church goers forced to 'pray the gay away'.

'A Dog Dreams' written by Jeffrey Fischer-Smith and directed by Jace Pickard. The heartbreaking tale of Alan and the family dog, who are grieving the loss of Alan's partner, Mark.

'Outback Mountain' by Peter Greenaway, directed by Suz Mawer. A young man from Sydney takes a trip to the outback on his moped in search for the stockman of his dreams, and gets more than he bargained for!

The wonderfully curated show has everything from comedy to drama, touching on all important topics in the LGBTQI community and showcases local talent from the writers, directors, cast and more. Each play went for 10 minutes and kept the audience wrapped around their finger at the Depot Theatre!
