If you're close to the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, Broadway, Times Square, or the Chrysler Building, then you are in what is known as Midtown Manhattan. Not only will you see these remarkable sights, but you will also have the opportunity to shop in some of the most luxurious stores in New York City.

With so many to choose from, it may be hard to know where to start. We've made it easy for you by providing a list of some of the stores you'll see in Midtown. Just choose one and start shopping.

Bergdorf Goodman, 5th Avenue at 58th Street

This store allows you to do it all, and do it all well. You can shop in the department store, relax in the manicure-pedicure lounge, and have your hair done in the hair salon. Afterwards, you and your friends can enjoy lunch at the BG Salon, while you enjoy the spectacular view of Central Park. When you visit Bergdorf Goodman, you can truthfully say you've "done" New York City. So, make it one of your first stops.

Cole-Hann, 620 5th Avenue (at Rockefeller Center)

While you're visiting Rockefeller Center, be sure to leave enough time to stop in at Cole-Haan. Here you'll find the best in shoes, luggage, and other leather goods. You can also find items made of python and crocodile skin, for a distinctly different, very unique look.

You'll enjoy shopping for just the right shoes or other items to complement your outfit when you visit Cole-Hann. Stop in soon, as see one example of why shopping in Midtown Manhattan is so special.

H&M, 505 5th Avenue

The well-known European chain brings its fashion to Midtown Manhattan. But don't be alarmed that "European" means expensive. The items in this store are affordable, making it possible for you to find something new to add to your wardrobe.

Harry Winston, 718 5th Avenue

After any "red carpet" event, you'll see picture after picture of celebrities decked out in their designer gowns. More often than not, those celebrities are also sporting Harry Winston jewelry.

It's easy to see why. Harry Winston crafts some of the most beautiful jewelry to be found anywhere in the world, and you can purchase some of it while you are visiting New York City. It's worth the trip to Midtown Manhattan just to visit this glittering shopping venue.

Norma Kamali, 1540 Broadway

You have to admit that some of the fashions worn in the '80s were beautiful. If you still enjoy wearing outfits from the "big hair" era, you can find them at Norma Kamali.

Don't worry about looking "dated", though. Norma Kamali has updated her pieces to where they still retain their '80s panache but fit beautifully into your 21st century life. So, shop confidently, knowing you'll find something that will remind you of a very memorable decade.
