I enjoy writing to give other people pleasure. I love traveling, eating out, finding fabulous cultural events at home and afar. I hope you'll like and try some of my discoveries, and favourite places and experiences.
Alchemy Restaurant and Bar is one of Brisbane's shining stars in riverfront gourmet dining, with exquisite food, ambience and an amazing view over the Brisbane River across to the Story Bridge. The Shiraz Club at Alchemy Restaurant & Bar is returning with this being the first of the monthly Long Lunch series. The Long Lunch will be enhanced by fine wines from Soul Growers wineries from the Barossa Valley. A delicious 3-course lunch prepared the Alchemy team, accompanied by 6 of the latest releases from Soul Growers will tantalise your taste buds. You can get more information here about Shiraz Club & Alchemy Restaurant.
Soul Growers was born out of a friendship of four dedicated souls who saw the strength and opportunities of coming together with a shared passion of creating wines and a brand that reflected their view of the Barossa. Paul, Tom, Leigh and Stu had worked together previously. These four fellows saw the grape growers of the Barossa Valley as being the very soul of the region, hence the brand. They say that the essence of what they strive for is to ensure a lifestyle that is good for the soul; wine, food, family, music, mates and fun. Find out more at their website or on Facebook.
The event is hosted by DarrenDavisWine. Darren's events are unique, highlighting his strong relationships with smaller producers across Australia and internationally. Soul Growers will present to you 6 of their latest releases. You will be able to purchase directly from the winery on the day. Bookings available here for $120.
Although the Shiraz Club Long Lunch finishes at 3pm, the bar will remain open and the river views will continue to relax and delight you and your companions through the daylight hours until the city lights begin to be reflected in the mirrored waters. What a treat for those who appreciate fine dining and wine or to take someone very special to somewhere very special.
