Shillinglaw Cottage is a delightful cafe/restaurant located on Panther Place in Eltham, a few steps from the Eltham Library.

The Shillinglaw Cottage menu consists of delicious regular items such as scrambled eggs and (amazing) lasagna, as well as other great dishes such as smoked salmon stack and polenta with ratatouille. As well as the great variety the menu offers, there are always great specials to choose from.

Table setting

If it is a nice day, request a table in the beautiful garden so you can relax in the serenity of Eltham.

The highlight of the Cottage experience was dessert. Pictured above is the homemade brownie, served with strawberries and cream. Also on offer were home made scones with jam and cream, served with tea or coffee.

Shillinglaw Cottage is not the place to go to for a quick meal. On the menu they warn you that all their food is made fresh and may take a while to be ready. It is well worth the wait. So head down to Shillinglaw Cottage for a beautiful brunch experience.
