Adelaide local who loves her city

Shiki Japanese Restaurant is very unique, from the table setting to the personalised service from the chefs. Choose from a variety of dishes that will be prepared and cooked on steaming hotplates right in front of you.

Shiki at the Intercontinental is very entertaining and is ideal for work or other corporate dinners. The atmosphere of the restaurant itself is very ambient, and you instantly relax in the comfortable setting.

The tradition is to share a teppanyaki table (which means iron-plate) with other diners - if it's just you and a friend or if you have a larger group, you will all sit together. The menu is extensive; choose from set courses like Mai, Hanoke or Tempura. Of course you can select whatever you like and be sure to try the delicious desserts - my favourite is deep fried banana with strawberries, apple and orange sauce.
