Relocation, relocation, relocation
Darlington's new Mezzanine Gallery has put on some stunning exhibitions in their smallish display area such as Coloured Cloths and Light and Motion.

This latest exhibition is called Shift and its focus and conception is 'relocation' and it will feature a number of artists who have previously exhibited in the Gallery.

Mark Alderson, Mezzanine Curator, said "We asked artists who have had exhibitions with Mezzanine Gallery to create works in response to the concept of Shift as related to relocation and unfamiliarity, involving the person who shifts, the people who are left, and how we welcome newcomers. The aim of Shift is to create powerful art and dialogue around relocation geographical, emotional, point-of-view, ability and our responses to this change."

The exhibition will include the works of Una Bell, Alastair Taylor, Angus Skene, Graziano Piras, and Daniel Oxenburgh.

Shift opens at the Gallery on October the 18th and runs until the 30th November. Entry is free.
