Nestled between the Brisbane River and the Brisbane suburb of Sherwood is the . This Beautiful park is a great place to unwind and have a picnic or barbeque. For families just let the kids loose on the playground equipment for a fun, free day out.

The park is only a 5 minute walk from Sherwood station, (18 minutes by train from Roma St). There are several picnic areas, some under cover with electric barbeques. These get very busy on the weekends as it is a favourite spots for locals to hold birthday parties, it's best to get in early if you have a large group.

Away from the playgrounds are quieter picnic spots, some with lovely views of the lake or river. There is also a boardwalk and jetty on the riverside that makes a very pleasant stroll.

This is a great place to bring the family or just to sit back and relax with a book. If you are not from the local area its worth spending some time strolling around the pretty, tree lined streets. On nearby Laurel Avenue there are some amazing properties with beautiful old Queenslander homes. Along Honour Avenue in Graceville there are several cafes and a bakery to grab a treat after a hard day relaxing.
