Just by the Maylands train station, on Whatley Crescent (6051), you will find a flourishing strip compromised of several up and coming trendy bars, retail stores and eateries.

At the tip of this strip, you will find one of the greatest little cafes I have stumbled across in the Perth region, named Sherbert.



What makes Sherbert stand out is the consistent high quality and freshness of their in-house baked goods, in particular but not limited to cakes and cup-cakes. I recommend that you stop in for a coffee and whatever takes your eye - it's sure to be a hit. While I have sampled several of their delectable offerings, I am a sucker for the coconut lemon blackberry cake which is always on offer- it's just that good. This is another element of what I enjoy at Sherbert, the fact that there is consistency to what is offered and they keep those staple popular items on offer.

There is nothing worse than discovering the love of your cake life, going back the next time for another hit and it's not on offer. Sherbert offers an amazing range of cupcakes and pastries and the baristas brew a killer coffee to boot. The ambiance is retro - it feels like you are sitting in your grandmother's farm house with eclectic furniture and decor.
