Event: -
Be Inspired - Be Amazed - Experience the Divine Culture
This is inspiring, entertaining, and just plain fabulous, and it is the world's elite of classical Chinese dance bringing a programme of all-new works for the 2018 season.

The choreography is exquisite, as is the live orchestra accompaniment. The costumes are also imaginative and the extraordinary stage effects bring to life the brilliance and magic of this great culture which was very nearly lost under the regime of Communism.

We are lucky that this show is coming to the Regal Theatre in Subiaco.

A long time ago, in ancient times, China was known as the "Land of the Divine". The emperors, as well as the common people, believed that their culture was indeed a gift from heaven.

The people at that time lived in harmony with the universe and saw a connection among all things. The traditional Chinese culture believed in these principles for many, many years - until "this world was lost".

This show will give you a glimpse into this lost civilisation and this has been a very difficult task, but it has been achieved brilliantly with this presentation.

The show will combine ancient legends with technological innovations and the costumes will be authentic while the backdrops will be stunning!

The Chinese dance will tell its own story and this will be a "mesmerising experience" unlike no other!

The authentic Chinese culture Shen Yun cannot be seen in another show, or even for that matter in its hometown China. There, the Communist Party sees traditional culture as a threat to its power and for many years has attempted to destroy it - very nearly succeeding.

But in 2006, a group of elite Chinese artists got together in New York with just one thing in mind - to revive traditional culture and share it with the world. They then created Shen Yun and brought this grand culture back from the brink of extinction.

This will be an unforgettable performance, and wherever Shen Yun goes, theatres are booked out. Some people even fly in from other countries, or drive hundreds of miles to see it!

While other people see the show several times because they say there are no words to describe the beauty of this show - you need to see it for yourself.

Here you will also experience the great sound of an orchestra that combines East and West like no other.

There are many reviews on this show and Cate Blanchett, an Academy Award-winning Australian actress, says "Exquisitely beautiful. An extraordinary experience for us and the children."

From Sine McKenna - Award-winning Celtic singer "My heart was open and I started to cry. The spirit of hope, beauty, and blessing... it's a fabulous gift to us."

Australian Stage say "One's expectations are blown out of the water. The Shen Yun dancers seem to defy gravity."

While the Chicago Tribune say "Jaw-dropping... a nimble mastery of traditional talents."

And the Denver Post say "Extraordinary costumes and vigorous physicality."
