It may just be worth travelling to the Northen suburbs to try this curry. With a traditional Indian and Pakistani theme, the tiny restaurant on the corner of the shopping centre serves out the best curry in all the lands. Catering for vegetarians and hard-core carnivores alike, the food is delectable and the service is impeccable.
On a weeknight, you might be able to get a sneaky booth without reservation but during the week the tiny store front is backed up with people having to be turned away. You can get a good meal for 20 bucks a person, but if you want to do it properly, get a naan, grab dessert (my money is on the traditional Indian pistachio ice-cream) and don't forget to tip the waitress.
The head chef and owner will welcome you with open arms and make you feel as though you're the only whose ever eaten his food. If you stick around long enough, he might even come out for a chat. Situated across from a bottle-o, it's easy to have a good night with a good curry and a cider.
