MPR Building and Carpentry owner Marcus Reeves is the driving force behind She Won't Be Right Mate . Since his inaugural fundraiser in the Yarra Ranges back in 2019, the founder of She Won't Be Right Mate has continued to strive and champion fundraisers in support of all those who are dealing with mental health. Having been through his own mental health experience in 2018 which shook him to the core; he decided to fight back and do something about it by creating a fun and family friendly event and car show; a place where people could connect with others in a safe space that was comfortable for the whole family; particularly men, who find it tough starting the conversation and admitting they might not be doing ok.

They're back with another fundraiser for 2023 and your help, support and generosity is the key to help others in need. So bring your holiday season happy personality and your generous soul, and come on down to this important fundraiser . If you fancy yourself a holiday to Bali, a smart 65 inch HD TV and gaming console, or a brand new set of car tyres and rims; you're going to love the community raffle - the biggest and best yet. Be sure to head over to the merch stands where friendly volunteers will help you win big at $10 per ticket or 3 for $20. Again, all proceeds go straight to Eastern Health

Here are the deets - Saturday 25 November 2023 from 9am to 1pm at the picturesque Yarra Glen Racecourse, 2A Armstrong Grv, Yarra Glen. Entry at the gate is $5 and kids under 12 go free. You could help by trying to bring the right amount, however, there'll be cash and tap options at the gate too. Gates open at 8am for car exhibitors at $10 per car display. Prizes are on offer for peoples choice award and most loved car, so don't forget to vote. There's also top bike, top car, Marwood cool kids car award, Mr Excited choice award and rare spares real street winner awards to look forward to. Trophies will be presented at 12.30pm on the Main Stage. This is more than just a car show; it's a complete morning of entertainment for the whole family.

There'll be gorgeous cars, including trucks, and motorcycles on display. Plus a different type of automobile with offerings of sustenance - food trucks to stave those hunger pangs; and face painting, bouncing castles and heaps more activities for the kids/the whole family to enjoy. Enjoy the best of the best with The Flossie Flossie candy floss, The Ice Cream Man, Clark's Cyclone Taties, Blue Cup Coffee, Berty and Co and more delicious delights. This year's event has come back bigger and better, so tell your friends, bring your families, spread the word, and help raise even more money for those in our community, battling mental illness. There'll also be SWBRM merch available on the day to purchase, so you can start the conversation with your mates all year round. They also make good stocking fillers, so find the merch table next to information on the day.

SWBRM are currently running their first primary aged kids colouring comp (follow link for more details), and the chance to name their mascot and win a swag of cool merch. Give their bulldog a makeover eg. give him some hair?, and the most creative entries in 3 age categories wins. Bring your entries along to be entered and have displayed at the event. This year as part of SWBRM's Donate what you think its worth kids activities, SWBRM have got the team at Melbourne Castle Hire Bouncy Castle on board who will be bringing not one, or two, but three of their massive, all time favourite inflatable activities to Yarra Glen for the family fun day!

Start collecting your coins, and pay how you feel on the day. All proceeds are going to Eastern Health ! There's no better way to get those small humans jumping out all their energy, while you sit back and relax with a coffee, before you take in the car show. Though you might want to accompany them when they check out the team from Black Snake Productions who will be showcasing some of their amazing reptiles. Get a selfie with a snake.

SWBRM have really put in 110% effort - there'll be cute animals around to meet and cuddle from Myuna Farm Mobile Ark , or get your face painted by Soulful Enchanting Body art. Get down early to secure your glow up, or simply sit back and relax and listen to Miss Rosie C band live on stage belting out your most loved covers from the 60's through to 90's as they play 3 sets, including all your old favourites. There'll be something for everyone.
