Join Shazzam Kids on a creative adventure for Fringe World
Kids! Are you ready for an adventure? Shazzam Kids is here to foster your imagination and take you on a journey of creativity and fun!
Shazzam Kids is one of several Fringe World Festival 2019 events that is showing at Cockburn Gateways for the very first time. If you're not familiar with the Fringe World Festival, it is Western Australia's largest annual event made up of a series of acts and shows held throughout Perth.
Shazzam Kids is a 'make your own adventure' run by the kids with a few prompts from Sharron and Ryan. During this 45 minute show, the kids will make up a story involving three characters using the very heights of their imaginations. It's all about getting the kids involved and thinking about sights, smells and sounds.
There are 20-second dance parties, a few adult jokes thrown in as well and a high chance that you, mum and dad, will be pulled up on stage to take part.
I would say that the show is most suitable for children aged 3 and over. My 3.5 year old hovered between desperately wanting to join the other kids on the stage and suffering separation anxiety when it came to the crunch. She did join in with the dancing and 20-second discos, however.
It was a stinking hot day, so kudos to Famous Sharron and Ryan for putting on a fantastic show with a smile, despite the heat.
Tickets are $21 for adults and $14 for kids aged 12 years and under. Children under 2 are free but must sit on an adult's lap. Shazzam Kids will be held at the Piazza at Cockburn Gateway Shopping City on Friday, 25 January and Sunday, 27 January at 5pm.
Shazzam Kids is the perfect introduction to the Fringe World Festival for children, and a wonderful way to see just how creative they can be using just their imagination.
