Shaun Tan Award Winners work exhibited
Ladies and gentlemen, our own Perth grown renowned author and writer, Shaun Tan, in conjunction with the City of Subiaco, will be presenting the works of the 2016 Finalists of the Shaun Tan Award for Young Artists. This prestigious competition has been running for over 13 years and is open to all Western Australian School students aged between 5 and 18 years.

There are 5 categories in which the works can be submitted: from Lower Primary (Years 1 & 2) to Upper Secondary (Years 11 & 12). The top ten entries in each category will be displayed in Subiaco Library from 18 July 2016 to 14 August 2016, with the Awards Ceremony scheduled for 25 July 2016.

The aim of this Award is to encourage imagination, innovation and to foster artistic development of the school students from around Perth in visual arts. This exhibition is open to public. All visitors are invited to vote for their favourite work, which will then receive a People's Choice Award.
