Have you ever wondered what it might be like to sleep under the sea?
The Aquarium of Western Australia (AQWA) is hosting a one-of-a-kind Shark Sleepover for kids between the ages of 7 and 12 starting at 6pm on April 13 and finishing at 8am on April 14. There will be a maximum of one adult guardian per child. No individual adult bookings will be permitted. Tickets will be $125.00 for children and $145.00 for adults. Adults and children must bring their own single mattresses (blow up or foam), sleeping bags and pillows.
This package includes your very own Ocean Guide, who will guide you around AQWA's exhibits at night. The kids will be given arts and crafts to take home and treated to a movie screening with popcorn and snacks provided.
Dinner will be served to the kids, which will be a choice of meal served in a treasure chest with chips, a pop-top drink and a novelty pirate-patch. Dinner for adults is included in the ticket pricing, adults must select their meal option at the time of booking.
The highlight of the night will be being able to "camp" in Australia's largest single aquarium. Kids and their parents will be sleeping underneath 3 million litres of water surrounded by sharks, giant stingrays, turtles and lots and lots of fish.
Breakfast in the morning will be a continental breakfast. At the end of the sleepover, kids will be given a free return kids pass to AQWA and a take-home shark backpack full of lots of fun things from AQWA.
