An exhibition with a difference

This April, you and your family are invited to discover a special group art exhibition in a truly unique location - the historic cellar gallery in Houghton Winery, Middle Swan.

Entitled 'Shared Palette', this exciting art exhibition will see six talented local artists come together to showcase their latest artwork and handcrafted wares.

Running from Tuesday 3rd to Sunday 22nd of April 2018, entry is FREE and all are welcome to peruse the display.

There will be a wide range of styles and mediums on show, including oils and acrylic paintings, pastel and encaustic wax works and glass art pieces.

Plus all the artists will be in attendance on Saturday 7th April 2018, so why not drop in, say hello and find out what inspires their artwork! On all other exhibition days, one of the artists will be in residence.

All the artwork is available for sale and commissions are most welcome. Mother's Day is around the corner and a one-of-a-kind artwork will make for a great gift idea, or consider purchasing a new centrepiece for your home or office.

The following talented artists are participating in Shared Palette:

  • Jan Day (renown oil painter) - paints charmingly in oils, depicting Goldfields, outback & birdlife themes.

  • Lyn Isted - who is fairly new to the art world and creates quirky pieces in acrylics, oils and most recently, encaustic wax.

  • Felicia Lowe (multi award-winning) - captures the local Australian landscape, flora and fauna with acrylic and soft pastels.

  • Caroline Muscat (2017 Black Swan Salon de refuses) - a novice to exhibiting, her acrylics are bold, full of life, interpreting the landscape and human form.

  • T'Louze Artistry with Glass - sister duo of Lorraine Chaplin-Mills & Terry Ferrier. They create unique slumped glass pieces inspired by Australian flora & fauna.

This Autumn, head to beautiful Houghton Winery in Middle Swan and take the opportunity to see Shared Palette - you are sure to be inspired by the creativity and ingenuity of these wonderful local artists!
