On 26 January 2014, Treasury Gardens in Melbourne CBD will be abuzz with the wonderful sights and sounds of Share the Spirit Festival.

This festival will be hosted by Songlines Aboriginal Music and will showcase the music and culture of the local indigenous community. The impressive program itinerary will encompass aboriginal music and dance performances, youth program and cultural activities. Celebrity artists like Stephen Pigram, Crystal Mercy, Illana Atkinson, The Deans will grace the festival. This festival will also feature the biggest corroboree of Victoria. A Koorie Night Market will help you to pick up some souvenirs from local and regional Indigenous arts and craft stalls. The Koorie Night Market represents a cultural showcase, community builder and business incubator and creates a platform for providing opportunities to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to promote their culture to the world. The festival will also have a rock climbing petting zoo, kid's art and crafts activities, sports activities and so forth.

The Share the Spirit Festival is aimed at supporting and promoting local Aboriginal musical talents. Songlines Aboriginal Music is a not-for-profit organisation and is the premier Aboriginal body that has supported talented Aboriginal musicians since 1996.

The Share the Spirit Festival will kick off at 1pm on 26 January 2014 and will run until 7pm. The festival precinct will be a drug and alcohol free zone.

Treasury Gardens is located at the corner of Spring Street and Wellington Parade in Melbourne CBD. If you opt for the car, parking is available nearby. If public transport is the preferred mode of travel then Parliament railway station is minutes away from Treasury Gardens. Tram 96 will also deliver you to the festival precinct.
