A warm summer night, a wonderful location on the banks of a river and a bunch of talented artists starring in a timeless comedy from the great Shakespeare, sounds like a great idea for a weekend picnic ? Sure does.
Shakespeare has written many plays but one of his most popular comedy works for the stage is A Midsummer Night's Dream. And for another year in the running Penrith's Acting factory brings to all of us the classic comedy written by Shakespeare.
Set on the banks on the Napean river at Regatta Park, Emu Plains, The Acting factory will present this play on weekends from 7:30 PM from Feb 20th to 14th March. Audience are advised to bring with them a picnic basket and a $10 donation is encouraged.
This play is a story about two sets of couples and their complicated romances which gets further complicated by the introduction of fairyland woods and the King and Queen of fairies who inhabit the moonlit forest.
Its a perfect way for theatre lovers to enjoy a midsummer's night by the river with a classic play.
