Event:
50's inspired street party
There'll be a whole lotta shakin' goin' on in the Gabba on Saturday, June 29 when the Gabba Village Association hosts Shake the Village, a fifties inspired street event. Known as the antique precinct, this small stretch of heritage-listed buildings on Logan Road is quickly becoming one of Brisbane's must do destinations, with art galleries, vintage stores, retro-inspired shops, renown restaurants and cool bars.

Beginning at 5pm, guests can stroll street stalls and mingle underneath Woolloongabba's whimsical lampshade streetlights. Live music kicks off at 6:30pm with Brisbane's own four-piece 'filly-billy' band The Sugarshakers. Enjoy a cocktail at Canvas or Crosstown Eating House, dine at one of Brisbane's best Italian restaurants 1889 Enoteca or try Pan Asian cuisine at the recently opened Birdcage Restaurant. Nothing to wear? Don't fret. You can pick up at fabulous fifties frock at That Shop.
