Shadowland Live
Shadowland Live
ATA Allstar Artists Pty Ltd presents 'Shadowland', the international theatre sensation direct from the United States playing at Her Majesty's Theatre from September 7th-10th. Shadowland is part act, part dance, part circus and part concert. It uses screens and dancers to create shadowed images.

Shadowland is created by Pilobolus, an acclaimed dance troupe who have performed at the Olympics, Broadway, The Oscars and now at Her Majesty's Theatre in Adelaide. The story about a teenage girl who wants to grow up, Shadowland is her coming to age story. One night she goes to bed just like every other but something strange occurs. When she wakes from her dreams, she notices her own shadow, suddenly the room begins to spin and she travels deeper and deeper into the Shadowland where her imagination takes control.

Shadowland Live
Written by Steven Banks the experience is both intensely dramatic and comical. He twists the young girls imagination into images showing how she wants to grow up, but still holds on to her childhood. In the Shadlowland nothing is as it seems, people look different, objects can change and there is many unusual characters to meet. This lyrical dance production is more than just a show, it takes you on a journey into the imagination.

Shadowland Live
Starring Klara Beyeler, Nathaniel Buchabaum, Kristina Dobosz, Heather Jeane Favretto, Eriko (Erica) Jimbo, Alexander Windner Lieberman, Manelich Minniefee, Ariana, Nakamine, Justin Norris, Derek Stratton and Jacob Michael Warren.

When the 1.5 hour show came to a close, the crowd cheered as they celebrated Shadowland and then Shadowland celebrated them. They took us to New York with 'Empire State of Mind' flashing images of The Statue of Liberty, Central Park, Skyscrapers and Big Ben.

Each performance is tailored to their audience with the Adelaide performance spelling out Adelaide in shadows. They went on to show images that are Australian such as Kangaroos, Monara Beach and Koalas. Overall Shadowland is a beautiful story with amazing images that have to be seen to be believed, 5/5 Stars.

Don't miss your chance to see 'Shadowland' come to life at Her Majesty's Theatre this September.
