More than just a furniture shop, Shacked Up is a labour of love. Furniture ready for the graveyard is revamped and given a new lease on life ready to find a new home.

I had liked the page on Facebook and loved seeing the posts of fabulous furniture in store and being a lover of unique and quirky furniture I had to see more.

Walking into Shacked Up was heaven, beautifully renovated furniture from chairs to side tables and cabinets all in gorgeous colourful hues. Furniture is lovingly finished and would look fab in any home. I learned that they use "miss mustard seed's milk paint which gives a milky finish, reminding me of luscious ice-cream colours, almost good enough to eat!

Furniture is scoured, refurbished and restored so there are regularly new items in store. What makes this store different from the rest is that you can book in for classes to learn how to create these amazing finishes using different techniques. You have the option of bringing along one of your items to revamp. Classes are run regularly throughout the month.

Homewares are scattered throughout the store making it a great place to buy gifts or pieces for the home.

With scones, jam and tea/coffee for $5, just pick a table to sit at and enjoy devonshire tea while you ponder what will go where.

Shacked Up is definitely worth a visit and the devonshire tea, just delish!
