A couple of months ago, I bought a great 50% off deal from
Groupon for a $50 One-Hour Hydrating Facial plus Glycolic Peel at Seville's Design, in Broadbeach.

Seville's Design
I booked it, but then totally forgot about it, so was delighted when a notification popped up on my calendar to tell me it was booked for this week. In desperate need of some pampering and time off, I was really looking forward to having a bit of "me" time to get refreshed.

On my way with my voucher - exciting
Seville's Design is a cute hair, nail and beauty salon in central Broadbeach, located on Surf Parade, which is just opposite The Oracle Boulevard and next to Moo Moo Restaurant.
I don't know why, but it always takes me a while to relax into things like this. I find it hard to switch off and can often feel uncomfortable, so I was very pleased when the lady came to get me and she was warm, friendly and chatty. It can make all the difference and luckily she was lovely. We chatted for a few minutes whilst we got ready which put me at ease, then naturally the conversation came to an end and the treatment started.

Reception
I believe it's the same lady who does all the treatments, as due to the offer, they had quite a long waiting list, which is why I forgot when I had booked it.
The facial, which also included a neck and shoulder massage, was just amazing - the different smells of the oils and creams filled the room and the gentle panpipe music had me drifting off within minutes. She did a lovely cleansing massage treatment too, which involved a warm steam jet across my face - it felt like I was on a tropical island and was the total self indulgence and escape that I needed.
The reason I know it was good is that much of the hour passed without anything really being on my mind - I have an overactive brain which rarely shuts off, so it was a true sign that the treatment was a success, as it allowed me to fully switch off.
I had the peel applied towards the end and was left for about 20 minutes - then a final cleanse and massage and then done. A good indication as to whether a spa treatment has been successful, is when you get up and you struggle to remember how to walk,
haha, it took me a few minutes to get back to reality and it was wonderful.
The few times I have been in, the staff are always friendly and welcoming, and even though it doesn't have the tranquil luxurious feel and setting of a day spa or spa resort, the outcome is still very much the same. Plus I can be happy in the knowledge that I have had a relaxing treatment but not spent a fortune.
They have some great treatments for $20 and under and although I cannot comment on the hair and nail side, whilst waiting in reception I saw many happy faces paying and leaving which is a pretty good sign.

$20 and Under
Whilst waiting I could hear a number of conversations which sounded like old friends chatting - which is kind of how a hair and nail studio should be I think.
They don't have a website, so you will need to call or pop in for details on pricing and bookings - they have a number of offers and special packages available, so just ask.
Totally worth a visit for some pampering, with a down to earth atmosphere, that won't break the bank. I will be back soon - maybe a massage next time.
