Seven Psychopaths stars Colin Farrell as Martin, an Irish screen writer stuck on his latest script "Seven Pscyhopaths" (this story is very meta, so go with it)
Martin, getting increasingly desperate, turns to his pal played by Sam Rockwell for some inspiration. However as the story goes on, Martin starts to realise that his friend's suggestions are a little to real to be fiction.
Rockwell makes suggestions of all the different psychopaths and we get to meet them as the narrative goes; Tom Waits appears at one point holding a large fluffy white rabbit.
The movie is incredibly bizarre, I can see why it wasn't an instant commercial hit there is a special level of crazy in it that doesn't appeal to everyone. It takes a director of serious skill to keep it all together, which Martin McDonagh (oh yes, this story is seriously meta), does largely.
The real star of this movie Christopher Walken though, who plays an aging dog-napper who makes weekly visits to his wife in hospital. He is truly brilliant.
It is well worth a watch, but be warned it a wild ride!
