On a warm summer day, located right in busy and popular Acland Street is a real godsend. Especially on the weekend, be prepared for a bit of a wait and yes, patience is a virtue here and will pay itself off with the quality of the ice cream you will receive.

If you are the type of person that loves to buy two scoops of ice cream at any given moment, just do yourself a favour and take my advice: just go for one to begin with. Why? It's a positive thing. Firstly, the serving sizes are generous, you should be ultimately a little peckish to finish your abundant scoop off before the ice cream starts to drip down your arms. It does melt quite quickly when you need it the most. This establishment does close during the cooler winter months here in Melbourne, and many Melburnians rejoice when this establishment re-opens.

The challenge can be in deciding which flavours to choose from. Be awarded with a few generous samples and your good to go. The cookies and cream, hazelnut and any of their fruit sorbet gelatos are my favourites. The more ice cream I buy from this establishment, the more I appreciate it. Variety is the spice of life, and this establishment has hit the nail on the head (literally) with this concept. Something would be so wrong with you if you kept buying the same flavour over and over. Variety is definitely the spice and flavour (sorry, bad pun) of the season here.
