It’s Serendipity

Since 1954 Serendipity3 on the Upper East Side has been serving fun foods and outrageous desserts to locals, tourists, and celebrities.

This quirky place offers a magical atmosphere with yummy desserts and good old American fare. The full menu includes a variety of options from appetizers, salads, burgers, foot-long hot dogs, seafood, pastas and more. Most popular for its desserts, Serendipity3 features a long list of sweet treats that will satisfy most cravings. Choose from a variety of pies, cakes, caffes, extravagant sundaes and frozen drinks including the ever popular Frrrozen Hot Chocolate.

If you really want to splurge, you can indulge in the 23-carat Golden Opulence Sundae for $1,000. Recognized as the world's most expensive sundae by the Guinness World Records, the Golden Opulence includes Tahitian vanilla ice cream infused with Madagascar vanilla beans and chunks of rare Chuao chocolate from Venezuela. The sundae is drizzled in one of the world's most expensive chocolates and served in a Baccarat crystal goblet. If you can't afford the Grand Opulence, you might want to try the Forbidden Broadway Sundae featuring Serendity3's famous Chocolate Black Out Cake or the Strawberry Fields Sundae with cheesecake, strawberry ice cream and toppings.

Located on East 60th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues, Serendipity3 is open seven days a week from 11:30am to midnight, and later on weekends. Only taking a limited number of reservations for lunch and dinner, this tiny place gets packed quickly so prepare to wait on line.
