Let Sephora Transform You
Entering a Sephora Store can be an overwhelming experience. It is So Ab-Fab sweetie darling! It really gets you in the mood to admire or perspire over your appearance. There are mirrors lining all of the walls and thousands of smaller ones on the individual cosmetic houses' displays.
The larger than life displays of cosmetics models shock the system as they are displayed boldly on a huge LCD screen that covers the entrance to the second level. It is such a sight to behold. You feel a little glamorous in Sephora and why not? You are there in a store dedicated to your beauty. It is an intoxicating feeling and may induce you to spend more than you have planned to. Incidentally, everyone gets the star treatment, as you must pay on the second level; so enjoy the glamorous walk up and down that catwalk like staircase. Some customers cannot help themselves - many a selfie has been taken on that staircase. Once you ascend those stairs you are greeted by a much calmer level of the store. The wide aisles make you feel free to browse. There is just so much to explore, so much quality to choose from with brands like Giorgio Armani, Guerlain and Shiseido.
Apart from the fabulous, and thanks to the crowd, chaotic and at times frantic atmosphere, there are the unique cosmetics and skincare products to consider. Sephora stock some hugely popular brands from America like tattooed beauty Kath Von D's range as well as the classic international brands like Dior. It is exciting to note that they have introduced to Sydney Sephora's own brand. It is reasonably priced and good quality.
Sephora also have a good selection of perfumes on the left of the entrance with testers available that include Dior's Hypnotic Poison. The pricing seems to be middle of the road; you could pay much less for these at chemist's shops or much more at department stores – both of which are within walking distance of the store so the choice is yours.
The best thing about Sephora is the in-store experience. I know that might sound a little crazy given the anxiety that hordes of frustrated city Christmas shoppers give most people, but believe me, if you are after good advice about a certain cosmetic problem then Sephora is tremendous. Despite the crowds at the Pitt Street Mall store the staff to customer ratio is good. You can easily identify staff by their uniform and they have expert knowledge about all the brands and cosmetic techniques on offer. The staff members are patient and all look immaculate. The staff will genuinely help you with such problems as matching your foundation colour to your skin and deciding which beauty product will best suit your particular skin type.
You feel free to use the testers without any sales pressure but know that staff are not too far away should you need help to find a stocked item or just beauty advice in general. It is in the details that Sephora really shines.
