Singapore is a great tourist spot – as a stopover, for a weekend or even as a holiday experience. There are many things to see and do, and one of the places you should not miss while at Singapore is checking out Singapore's most visited island – Sentosa.
Sentosa Island is easily accessible from the mainland via boat and cable car, the latter the most preferable mode of transport. There are guided tours around the island, and plenty of activities to do during the day and night. Below I have listed three of the most popular items of interest that you should check out while at the island.
The Merlion is one of the biggest attractions on the island, and for many reasons. For one, it is one of, if not the tallest attraction on Sentosa, and is closely connected with its history. Many tourists take the climb to the top of Merlion's head where you can see a great view of the whole island.
The Sentosa Cineblast also is a great place to catch one of the films on offer. If you thought 3D was good – wait till you see 4D; it's a whole other experience. The cinema has special seating and surround sound, so you get the most out of your experience. For more information on screening times; please see the official website.
And to finish off for the day – the Sentosa Laser Light Show is one not to miss. A regular favourite for both locals and tourists alike at the island, it is an amazing and beautiful show that is a family favourite for many. Held almost every night at the island, it encompasses much of the Sentosa Island atmposhere, and of course, the history of the island. The Merlion also features in some of the shows, so check it out.
So for this and much more fun, head to Sentosa Island for a great time out. For more information, please see the website.
