Santa in quiet times
An encounter with Santa, a chat about Christmas wishes and finally a photo with the bearded man in red - all sounds relatively simple. But for some children it often isn't, sometimes this is not easy, sometimes fearful and teary and sometimes not possible depending on the child in question. Time for Sensitive Santa to step in!
Sensitive Santa allows families with a child on the autism spectrum to have a photo with Santa without the hustle and bustle of Christmas crowds. Sensitive Santa will be offered again this year in the Northland Shopping Centre's Santa set the 'Woodland Wonderland'. Children on the autism spectrum will have the opportunity to meet Santa and all his Woodland companions before trading begins, without any crowds. So children who would normally not feel comfortable in the busy shopping centre environment can have their special times with Santa when all is quiet and calm.
Sensitive Santa Dates/Times:
8am – 9am, 2nd December – 7th December 8am – 10am, 8th December Location: Northland Shopping Centre Please register here for your free ticket
If you have a pet that deserves or would like to have their special photo taken with Santa then here is your chance too. But only small to medium household pets are allowed and bookings are limited and are for a strict 10 minute duration only. Maybe best to bring some treats along for your pet to make sure they behave well!
