The is an innovative multi-sensory playground for people of all ages. Organised by Multiple Sclerosis WA as both a fundraiser and allowing all to experience the sensory effects neurological conditions have on the body firsthand.

Located at the Queens Riverside Precinct on De Vlamingh Ave in East Perth, the gallery comprises 5 different rooms where you can explore different senses.

The first room which starts at the pop-up cafe, which is on the corner of Hay Street opposite Queens Gardens, allows you to look at what seems normal pictures but when viewed through a downloadable app on your mobile phone, the pictures seem to grow colour.



The second room is the most popular of all, as it contains a large ball pit area where everyone can swim amongst thousands of softballs. Included is also the UV room, where the walls and floor are painted seamlessly. Turn on the UV light and you will see thousands of messages from previous attendees. Add your own message anywhere in this room which can't be seen under normal light.

The next room is the chillout room, where you can relax and listen to headphone music while relaxing either in a beanbag or hammock.



Continuing around the corner, you enter the Green Room which has a fragrant scent of the jungle. The sensations are of the rain and tropical flowers and greenery in this immersive journey.



The next room is the Cheese Room, having a giant piece of cheese where you can have your photo taken behind it. There are holes in the sidewall, where you put your hand inside to feel but not see different surfaces. Also included behind the Big Cheese is the Brain Room, where strings of lights, represent the neurological pathways to the brain. You can even try on interactive Virtual Reality glasses where you feel you are in another dimension.

The next room is the Healthy Eating Pyramid where there is a playful kitchen with some photo opportunities.

This temporary pop up gallery is on until 22 December with entry at $20 for adults and $10 for children. Under five years old are free. It is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm.

You can also purchase coffee and food next to the ticket office.
