There are so many seniors who are struggling at the moment so I thought that I would do a list of places you could go out to for lunch, where they have specials for seniors. I have chosen suburbs all around Perth in the hope that there are some not too far away from anyone!

1. Albion Hotel
Where: 535 Stirling Highway, Cottesloe
When: Everyday 12 noon to 3 pm (carers dine for free)
Cost: $15

This is a lovely old hotel, decorated with old world charm, and vintage school decor. It also has beautiful ceiling fans from New Orleans and some Tiffany chandeliers.

2. Charles Hotel
Where: 509 Charles Street, North Perth
When: Monday to Friday, from 11.30 am to 2.30 pm

The Charles Hotel has been there for as long as I have been in Perth, which is nearly 45 years! It is an icon for the local music scene and their food is also good.

3. Belmont Tavern
Where: 174 Wright Street, Cloverdale
When: Monday to Friday from 11.00 am to 3.00 pm

Great food and service here. They have pub food and bistro dishes, in a relaxed and spacious venue.

4. Ivy & Jack
Where: 788 Hay Street, Perth
When: Monday to Sunday 11.30 am to 2.00 pm

Menus are changed here regularly, so food is not always the same. A great place to go if you are in the CBD.

5. Inglewood Hotel
Where: 803 Beaufort Street, Mt Lawley
When: Monday to Friday 11.30 am to 4.00 pm

The Inglewood Hotel has long been a favourite of people for miles around. I have eaten here several times and always very pleased with the quality and service.

6. Market City Tavern
Where: 280 Bannister Road, Canningvale
When: Monday to Saturday 12 noon to 2.30 pm

This is their "Fast'N'Fresh" lunch which includes salad and dessert bars. They serve only local produce of the highest quality. The menu is a la carte and there is a choice of about five different meals on the special.

7. Bullcreek Tavern
Where: Cnr Benningfield Road and South Street, Bullcreek
When: 7 days a week from 11.30 am to 2.30 pm
Cost: $13

The Bullcreek Tavern, known by locals as "The Bully" is another tavern where their food is very good. If you enjoy your beer, they have many on tap.

8. Boab Tavern
Where: 107 Dundas Road, High Wycombe
When: Monday to Friday from 11.00 am to 3.00 pm

This Tavern gets its name from the iconic Australian tree, the Boab, which is seen everywhere in Derby. It is a family-friendly meeting place and has a bistro and quality food.

9. Victoria Park Hotel
Where: 605 Albany Highway, Victoria Park
When: Available for lunch and dinner 7 days a week
Cost: Under $12 - must produce Seniors Card

The Victoria Park Hotel is situated in the heart of Victoria Park and has been there since 1927!

10. High Wycombe Tavern
Where: 503 Kalamunda Road, High Wycombe
When: Available Monday to Wednesday from 11.30 am to 3.00 pm

They have a large variety of pub-style meals to choose from. They are best known for their Black Angus Steak which is both tender and has a unique flavour.

11. The Brook Bar & Bistro
Where: 11 Main Street, Ellenbrook
When: Monday to Friday, from 12 noon to 3.00 pm

They offer several meal choices and this also includes a drink with your meal.

12. Sizzler, Morley
Where: Walter Road, Morley
When: Monday to Saturday, 11 am to 4 pm

13. Cicerellos
Where: Fremantle Harbour, and Mandurah Quays

There is a choice of two fish meals on presentation of your senior's card here. Cicerellos is a well-known fish and chips outlet which has been in Fremantle for many years and is still always popular.

14. Bayswater Hotel
Where: 78 Railway Parade, Bayswater
When: 12 noon to 2.00 pm

15. The Parkerville Tavern

This is a lovely pub restaurant that is renowned for its relaxing surrounds and hearty meals. You can eat inside the newly refurbished restaurant, or near the fireplace in the bar.

16. 7th Avenue Bar & Restaurant
Where: 74 Helena Street, Midland
When: 10.30 am to evening
Cost: $17

Here you can have a choice of steak, fish of the day, roast of the day or pasta.

17. Odin Tavern
Where: 51 Erindale Road, Balcatta
When: Monday to Friday 11 am to 3 pm
Cost: Show your Seniors Card to get specials

This is an award-winning Tavern and is a family owned and operated hotel. There is an outdoor beer garden and an alfresco dining area.

What about vegetarian meals at Govinda's in Northbridge? $10 every day for all you can eat, and if you buy after 3,30pm a meal is $6.
