In conjunction with this festival The Juanita Nielsen Community Centre is opening its doors FREE of charge for anyone aged sixty years and over, who are new to the community and have never been to the centre before. Recently upgraded in 2016, the centre has incorporated new lift and accessible facilities, a state-of-the-art community gymnasium with new change rooms, a new multipurpose space and an outdoor play area with an area of children's programs.
The centre offers a broad range of adult fitness classes, creative learning programs for all age groups, spaces for event seminars and meetings or personal booking hires. Small local businesses or businesses starting up are provided free entrepreneurial co-working spaces at the centre where ideas can be generated and support in business development can be obtained.
