Located at the corner of the Esplanade and Semaphore Road, this summer have fun in the sun by the seaside. Walk along the jetty, play in the sand, go for a swim and check out the fantastic atmosphere created by the Semaphore Summer Carnival.
There is so much for the kids (and kids at heart) to see and do.
Slip and slide down the 13.3 metre high waterslide, jump in to the Bouncing Clown Castle, take a seat to the sky on the Foreshore Ferris Wheel, try your hand at a round of mini golf, buzz by on the Flying Bee ride or take a walk to the sideshow side where every body wins a prize.
The Waterslide Complex can also be hired out for group bookings and kids birthday parties. Most rides cost $5 and a half hour waterslide pass costs $12. And while you're there why not take a ride on the Semaphore Steam Train?
The two kilometre ride along the coastline from Semaphore Jetty to Fort Glanville and back is a great way to see the beach and the surrounding area. The train operates on school holidays, weekends and public holidays, departing between 12pm noon and 4pm at various times.
The Semaphore Summer Carnival is on every day of the summer holidays except Christmas Day. Fireworks light the sky on New Years Eve at midnight and on Australia Day at 9.30pm.
Semaphore is one of the only places left in South Australia to retain that magical carnival family atmosphere.
So when the sun is shinning, unplug the Xbox, turn off the TV and take a trip to yesteryear at the Semaphore Summer Carnival.
