Also known as the Adelaide International Kite Festival, Semaphore Kite Festival is an annual event held over the Easter long weekend at Semaphore Beach, where visitors have a good opportunity to see kites of various shapes and sizes being flown by both local and international kite flyers. This festival is run by the Adelaide Kite Flyers Association, a club established in 1997 for those interested in learning how to fly kites.





Visitors are also free to bring their own kites to fly; some of the stalls there sell kites if you are concerned about not having a kite of your own. Various food stalls will also be present for those looking for a bite to eat. Entry into the event is free, so feel free to drop by if you are eager for something different to do over the Easter weekend.
