Located at the end of Semaphore Road, the Semaphore Jetty juts out 585m in to the sea providing great opportunities for fishermen to fish in the shallows or deeper depths of waters. During summer the jetty is a beacon for kids of all ages, many of whom climb up and down the jetty, while others seek shelter from the sun under the old wooden boards.
Nearby to the jetty is the popular Fort Glanville miniature railway line, the large kids playground, the water slide and mini golf, and the historic Palais Hotel which has seen a renaissance in recent years as a wedding and function venue, and a great spot for afternoon coffee and cake.
And later in the afternoon or in the early evening, the sun sets in the west thus providing great opportunities for some of the best sunset views that are available in South Australia.
