We all know how difficult it can be to exercise sometimes, so why not tackle the task by complimenting your efforts with a beautiful, crisp atmosphere like the one you will find down at Semaphore Beach.

The central bike track which runs along the esplanade, is a popular place for locals to cycle, walk, run or rollerblade any time of the day. There are also exercise stations along the way for you to stop and more intimately work on your stomach, legs and arms.

The track is quite large in width, so that you are not fighting for space and you will most likely be greeted with a smile or nod by the friendly pedestrians you pass by.

The surroundings are very clean, the air always smells fresh, and the sunset hitting the water around 5pm is one of the most gorgeous views to witness.

Furthermore, if you want to venture down for a picnic or some relaxation time with family and friends, the strip is also equipped with cafes, playgrounds, a skate ramp and a grassy area for you to throw the ball with your dog or kick a ball with your kids or peers.

So, the next time you get the exercise bug, whether you need to force yourself or thrive on it, I encourage you to head down to the Semaphore esplanade.

I haven't been to Semaphore Esplanade, but my favourite place to go for a walk is the Moana Esplanade. It's such a great feeling walking in the fresh air with the beach so close by.

I imagine it would be a fairly similar experience at Semaphore, and Adelaide's other great beaches. Thanks for the write up, if I'm ever in the area perhaps I'll have to go for a stroll.

No worries! Yeah it's a beautiful place to walk. Definetly motivates me.

Thanks for your tip, too.
