The Selden Society Lectures are something I look forward to every year. They are organised by the Supreme Court Library and are designed to appeal to a wider section of the population, not just lawyers, judges or jurists.
This will give you two dates for the new series which you can note in your diary.
Thursday 8 May: Recasting the law on a more merciful basis: Juvenile justice then and now, presented by Dr Robyn Blewer (Griffith Law School)
Thursday 16 October: The origins of contemporary judicial power in Papua New Guinea, presented by the Hon Justice John Logan RFD (Federal Court of Australia)
All lectures will be held in the Banco Court, Queen Elizabeth II Courts of Law, 415 George Street, Brisbane, with a live stream option for remote viewing.
Registrations typically open four weeks before each lecture.
