Seeing Eye Dogs Australia in Kensington VIC is hosting an Open Day!

On Saturday the 14th of March come down to the leafy inner city suburb Kensington and visit the puppies that help people who are blind or have low vision in Seeing Eye Dogs Australia's state of the art Kennel and Breeding facility.

A dream come true, you can see puppies playing in the centre. The centre will have public viewing areas including the indoor and outdoor playing areas, puppy rearing area and vet health check rooms. There are day yards for the dogs, which have short walls to allow the interaction with other dogs and people, plus a specially designed viewing platform allowing you to look directly into the boarding kennels.

We've all seen the Youtube videos of Golden Retrievers and Labradors and their love of water. This is your chance to watch the dogs in the rehabilitation recovery pool. This 1 meter deep rehabilitation pool is an important part of the Seeing Eye Dog Australia's enrichment program and allows their dogs to exercise and recover quickly from any injuries they might encounter as a playful pup.

Vision Australia will be running training, obedience and vet health demonstrations all day. If you're a canine owner yourself, experts at Royal Canin will be happy to answer any questions and provide free pet nutrition advice.

On the day, bring along the kids as there will also be a jumping castle and face painting. Puppy merchandise will be available for sale and there will be raffles, a BBQ and a coffee van to keep you as energetic as the puppies.
