From little things big things grow

Food is a necessity! Without food, we cannot survive! I am sure that ours is not the only household noticing that despite our best efforts, prices of everyday food items seem to continue to increase, which means a lot of ‘jiggling’ may need to be done to ensure our families continue to be well nourished.

Come along to a Seed Session with Soul Cauley from the Maleny Seed Library and discover how seed saving can help improve your food budget and the planet. Run by Sunshine Coast Libraries at various locations, attendees will discover the difference between open-pollinated and hybrid seeds and learn how to store seeds correctly. Seeds that are easy to save, for example, lettuce, tomatoes, beans and pea plants will be on display to view.
