City of Charles Sturt invites you to attend this workshop, , to learn more about how to make your Android phone or tablet device more secure. The workshop will be held at Ngutungka West Lakes, 9 Charles Street, West Lakes, on Monday, 26 June 2023, starting from 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm.

Our smartphones and other devices hold a lot of our personal information. Many phones have access to social media accounts, emails, bank accounts and more. Taking steps to secure these devices makes sure this information stays private and doesn't fall into the wrong hands.

Man-in-the-Middle, phishing, and other attacks that take advantage of network connectivity to steal data or deliver malicious content are some threats that you will be facing with your Android phone or other devices. It is important to learn how to improve your mobile security to block these network-level attacks.

Android has built-in security features that significantly reduce the frequency and impact of application security issues. The system is designed so that you can typically build your apps with the default system and file permissions and avoid difficult decisions about security.
