Set in the 1920's, a man is brutally murdered and his wife, Lilly, and children are violently abused. The killer seems to have no motive but admits he is guilty. The dead man's family must struggle to rebuild their shattered lives. Lilly's reputation is called into question, but her strong convictions lead her to respond in an unlikely way.
Secrets Mothers Keep is an amazing and intriguing fictionalised story, based on true events including a brutal murder and the violent abuse of a family on an isolated farm in Western Australia in the 1920s.
This is a free community event and everyone is welcome to attend. Bookings are recommended as places are limited, and you can register your interest on-line at the Cockburn Libraries website.
