A secret road trip - from the Sunshine Coast to the Lockyer Valley - will take you on a journey of discovery. Our destination - Spicers Hidden Vale.

Road Trip Details

Start: Daisy's Place, 2859 Steve Irwin Way, Glenview
End: Spicers Hidden Vale, 617 Grandchester Mt Mort Rd, Grandchester
Duration: 2 hours 30 mins
Via: Kilcoy, Toogoolawah, Laidley

We commence our road trip on the Sunshine Coast by having a coffee in the opulent surrounds of Daisy's Place , conveniently located on the edge of the M1 at Glenview.

Daisy's Place is nestled in the edge of a rainforest so you can enjoy breakfast or a snack before commencing your road trip.

When you leave, follow Steve Irwin Way to Beerwah and take Route 6 west-bound towards Kilcoy. Veer right onto Route 85 onto D'Aguilar Highway. Kilcoy is a town with much history and continues to thrive as a meat processing town supplying employment to many locals.

If it's time for break. Stop at Chantilly Blue Coffee Lounge , 25 Seib Street for great service and lovely coffee and gifts.

[ADVERT]Stay on the D'Aguilar Highway until Route 85 becomes the Brisbane Valley Highway (which is a turn left) towards Esk. Wivenhoe Dam will be on your left as you continue onto Route 17.

Turn right onto Coominya Connection Road which becomes Forest Hill-Fernvale Road at Mount Tarampa.

You will cross the Warrego Highway (A2) and veer left onto Old Laidley-Forest Hill Road towards Laidley.

Turn right onto Laidley-Plainlands Road, onto Patrick Street, Vaux Street and left onto Rosewood-Laidley Road towards Grandchester.

In Gradchester, turn right onto Granchester-Mount Mort Road, signposted to Spicers Hidden Vale . You are nearly there! It may feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but your reward awaits not far from here.

A few kilometres up the road and you have reached your destination.

Have lunch, dinner or stay overnight at Spicers Hidden Vale for a true country farm stay experience while enjoying the luxury Spicers are famous for.

I'd recommend you order a picnic and explore the grounds of the property. #spicers_hiddenvale_active_getaway ">Take a horse ride with damper included , or let the kids pat the animals at the farm gate.

Be sure to take a dip in the infinity pool, with beautiful Lockyer Valley views.
