Secret Garden at the Maroochy Bushland Botanic Gardens is an afternoon of laid-back, family-friendly live music, that is happening on Sunday 3 January and will hopefully be continued on the first Sunday of every month thereafter. This Micro Event Series is proudly brought to you by Troubadour Wagons, a travelling bespoke venue hire for micro festivals and events, weddings and celebrations.

Inspired by 13th-century travelling artists, poets and players, Troubadour Wagons is a contemporary adaptation of the medieval style event venue. Developed in response to the closing, and restrictions imposed on indoor arts and cultural venues, as a result of the 'bug', Troubadour Wagons' unique concept is to reawaken the age-old tradition of a mobile entertainment venue.

Totally unique mobile entertainment venue

The Troubadour Wagons come complete with up-cycled wooden bollards, beautiful bunting and entry arch, to welcome audiences at each unique open air space. On Sunday 3 January 2021, you are invited to enjoy Secret Garden at Maroochy Bushland Botanic Gardens, to experience first-hand an exceptional, self-contained, open-air venue.

Troubadour Wagons are also available for hire for private functions and would be an awesome 'add-on' for special celebrations, think ... romantic accommodation, stunning High Tea setting, a vibrant stage for a special birthday celebration or for a totally unique backdrop for wedding photos.

Every month guests will be treated to a variety of performances by local and touring artists in the Sculpture Gardens, with a selection of everything from folky tunes and gritty blues to reggae vibes and sweet pop sounds.

The feature artists for Secret Garden in January are The Dawn Light and The Letter Elle.

January 2021 Feature Artists at Secret Garden

After many years of connecting with the profound verses of the great mystic poets - Hafiz and Francis Brabazon - Angela started using their poems as lyrics, writing songs that could be described as a dear companion to the human spirit, shining beams of light, joy and inspiration on the path of life. Sharing the love, Angela teamed up with her husband and music partner, OJ Newcomb (John Butler Trio, Afro Dizzi Act, Band of Frequencies) to create 'The Dawn Light', named after one of Francis Brabazon's poems.

'The Letter Elle' is the project of Sunshine Coast musician and producer, Elle Emery. Taking on the role of producer, bringing her songs to life on stage, The Letter Elle takes influence from a myriad of styles. At the forefront of Elle's work is her layers of soulful vocals, introducing aspects of neo-soul and R&B and her instrumentation stylistic of Alternative Rock.
