How lucky are we, Sunshine Coast? Once a month on the first Sunday of the month, music lovers are treated to an afternoon of laid-back, family-friendly live entertainment, showcasing the incredible talent of local, home-grown artists, at the Maroochy Bushland Botanic Gardens . The Secret Garden Micro Music Event Series is proudly hosted by Troubadour Wagons, a travelling bespoke venue hire for micro festivals and events.

Gaining inspiration from the 13th century travelling artists, poets and players, Troubadour Wagons is a present-day remodelling of the old-worlde artist touring venue. Developed in response to the closing and restrictions imposed on indoor arts and cultural venues, due to Covid, Troubadour Wagons' unique concept is to reawaken the age-old tradition of a mobile entertainment venue.

The Troubadour Wagons come complete with repurposed wooden bollards, stunning bunting and entry arch, to welcome audiences at each exclusive open air space. On Sunday 7 February, you are invited to come along to the Secret Garden Micro Music Event held at the spectacular Maroochy Bushland Botanic Gardens, to experience first-hand an out-of-the-ordinary, self-contained, open-air venue.

The good news is that the multi-purpose, gorgeously colourful Troubadour Wagons are also available for hire for private functions and would add an exceptional and unique centrepiece for any special celebration. The wagon is perfect for -
  • a dressing room for a bride, groom or bridal party
  • an unusual backdrop for wedding ceremonies and/or photos
  • ,a romantic accommodation option
  • a funky gypsy-style glamping trip for an extra special night out, under the stars and, or
  • a vibrant stage for a birthday celebration

  • Every month music devotees will be treated to a variety of performances by local and touring artists in the Sculpture Gardens, with a selection of everything from folky tunes and gritty blues to reggae vibes and sweet pop sounds.

The feature artists for Secret Garden, the first Sunday in February, are Asher Beau and Jason Daniels.

Asher Beau is the cool, calm frontman for local much-loved reggae band ' Bearfoot '. His self-described genre is 'salty roots and reggae' with a gift for writing lyrics that are delivered in a smooth, effortless style with a smile.

With raw songwriting, infectious grooves and a simplicity of letting music lead the way, Jason Daniels is a young multi-instrumentalist, currently living in rural Australia, teaching Indigenous children music and recording and gigging, when possible.
