Proudly hosted by the winners of the Innovation Award at the 2021 Queensland Music Awards , Troubadour Wagons, the Secret Garden and Riverside Vibes Micro Music Events are present-day transformations of old-fashioned touring artists, displaying an appreciation of an awesome concept from days gone by. These two Micro Music Events are held on the first (Secret Garden) and the third (Riverside Vibes) Sunday of every month and of course, being outdoors are totally dependant on the weather.

Gaining inspiration from 13th-century travelling artists, poets and players, Troubadour Wagons is a contemporary modification of the medieval style event venue, a travelling bespoke venue that is available to hire for micro festivals, events, weddings and private functions. The ingenious idea to revive the age-old tradition of a mobile entertainment venue, was very cleverly developed in response to Covid and the restrictions imposed on indoor arts and cultural venues.

The Troubadour Wagons come complete with recycled wooden bollards and spectacular bunting and entry arch, all designed with the 'wow' factor in mind, when welcoming audiences at each and every unique open air space. Join Troubadour Wagons on the 6 June at the spectacular Sculpture Gardens in the Maroochy Bushland Botanic Gardens to enjoy fabulous performances by local and touring artists. From folky tunes and gritty blues to reggae vibes and sweet pop sounds, music lovers will discover something different at each event.

Feature Artists for Secret Garden in June

Andrea Kirwin is an Australian-Fijian singer/songwriter based in Nambour on the Sunshine Coast. Andrea writes and arranges her songs by weaving melodies and lyrics together with purpose and passion, much like the way her Fijian grandmother used to weave pandanus mats in the village on the island of Matuku, Lau. Andrea's sound can be described as an earthy blend of folk, roots, reggae, blues, funk and soul as she waxes and wanes between her gentler folk/soul tunes as a solo artist.

Relax to the solo sounds of Shannon Sol Carroll , a chilled summer brew of laid-back roots, saltwater folk and acoustic soul. Laying down live loops created with a guitar and an assortment of foot pedal gadgetry, Shannon presents stripped back renditions of songs from his band discography, new original material and selected tracks from his favourite songwriters.

Karlou is Sunshine Coast musician, Karrie Hayward's latest indie pop project. Cutting threads from her past folk singer-songwriter path, Karlou has turned a new chapter indulging herself in sweet nostalgic pop hooks and weaving, sonic melodies with her new single, 'Closer'.
