This Williamstown beachfront restaurant promises views, sea breeze, and a taste of the Basque region. With indoor and outdoor dining areas, Sebastian Beach Grill welcomes diners 7 days, 12pm to late.
If you are able, book a table outdoors (tip - online bookings receive a complimentary round of vermouth in December and January) so you can feel as though you are in Spain with large blue and white shade umbrellas overhead and coastal views. Enjoy table service from knowledgeable and friendly staff. If they do not know the answer, they will find out for you!
All dishes are meant for sharing. Between the two of us, we selected two small plates and two sides.
Patatas bravas –If you love roasted mini potatoes, then this dish is for you; for me, this serve was too dry, and in need of more sauce. White fish lomo – by far the best dish from our selection. Lightly cured white fish, served with pickled cucumbers, mayonnaise and a sprinkling of almonds; best eaten on its own.
Sebastian is located an easy 10-minute walk from Williamstown Beach railway station, or there's paid parking for around $5/h along the Esplanade. With a prime location, great staff and views, be sure to book in advance to secure one of the best seats in the house.
