From Ferrari cars vegan markets to handmade bicycles & more
The Seaworks Maritime Precinct is situated just outside of Melbourne's CBD in Williamstown's historic port and is home to commercial businesses such as the Pirates Tavern, the Shore Outdoor Cinema, sailmakers, boat builders, historic buildings and artists – A Blanck Canvas and Sway and Airena to name a few. It is a place where art and history unite and create a remarkable atmosphere for all who visit.

Seaworks is a not-for-profit organisation whose goal is to promote Victoria's maritime history while also providing an educational, cultural and tourism experience. The venue is hired for private functions and booked for public events throughout the year.

Some of the events scheduled for 2023 are -

Sunday 16th April 2023 - Ferrari Club of Australian Exhibition

The Victorian Chapter of the Ferrari Club of Australia is holding its annual Concorso d'Eleganza. The club members will congregate together for a sit-down lunch while enjoying the amazing display of Ferraris. The event commences at 8.30am and concludes at 4.00pm.

Wednesday 19th April 2023 – Homicide and the Don of Trugo

As part of the Film Festival, Pirates Tavern is presenting a free programme of two films, which relate, but are very different to the heritage of Hobsons Bay. This event, which is a short twenty-two-minute film directed by David Pritchard tells the story of the struggling Yarraville Trugo Club's search for a team in time for their grudge match against Newport.

Saturday 22nd April 2023 –The Makers & Shakers Market

Commencing at 10.00 am, the market features over one hundred craft and homemade stalls including homewares, tasty food, drinks, sustainable fashion and more. All makers are Australian-made. Entry is $4.00 for Adults and Children $2.00 and can be pre-purchased for paid at the door on arrival. No pets are allowed to this event, which concludes at 4.00pm.

Friday 2nd June 2023 – Handmade Bicycle Show Australia

Celebrate the art of the handmade bicycle as enthusiasts showcase their finest handmade and bespoke bikes, apparel and component brands. This sport encourages newcomers to come along and meet the legends that bring this fascinating craft to life.

There will also be food, coffee, beer and wine for purchase making the event a perfect evening out. Bicycle onsite parking is available, and the activities commence at 4.30pm.

Friday 16th June 2023 – HBCF 2023 Business Lunch

This event commences at 11:30pm where you can mingle with local business leaders, professionals and philanthropists to celebrate HBCF's ongoing contribution to the Hobsons Bay Community. Sit down for lunch at 12:30pm and enjoy what is considered the premier networking event in Melbourne's western region.

Sunday 6th August 2023 – The Vegan Market

This market supports independent, ethical and sustainable companies across Australia and allows you to meet with others from like-minded businesses who will be showcasing their work to those who attend.

To be vegan is to abstain from the use of animal products in your diet and cosmetic products. Many Vegans are also concerned about animal welfare in the use of the above.

Currently, organisers are calling for any businesses that would like to be involved in this event by filling out the form here. Tickets can be obtained by going to Eventbrite. The Market is open from 10.00am and concludes at 4.00pm.

There will be over one hundred food, drink, fashion, craft and skincare stalls and you do not have to worry about a single ingredient, which is also great for those with allergies.

Sunday 13th August 2023 – Melbourne Wedding Guide Expo

Saturday 28th October 2023 – Williamstown Highland Celtic Festival

This event is a family favourite with a fun-filled day of dancing, pipe bands, heavy events, a folk music tent, displays, clans and stalls. Tickets will be available to purchase from mid-September with prices around $20.00 for Adults and $16 for Concession Holders. Children under 16 are free.

Saturday 25th November 2023 – Williamstown Heritage Beer and Cider Festival

Now in its eighth year, The Willy Beer Fest is a favourite of many with more than one hundred beers and ciders from twenty independent breweries and cideries for you to try. If your intent to try them all, make sure public transport is your way to arrive home safely.

For those not into beer, there will be plenty of cocktails, seltzers and spirits as well as scrumptious gourmet street food, live entertainment and activities for the children. Mark this date into your calendar as ticket bookings will be available soon.

The Seaworks Maritime Precinct is located at 82 Nelson Place, Williamstown and is the place to be for all your exciting events this year.
