Swordfish in the Melbourne Hills at classy restaurant
Pack your picnic as you head to the hills outside Melbourne, or better yet, let someone else be the chef. You just relax and enjoy fine local wines from Olinda and hot fresh produce meals.

Seasonal Restaurant has a wonderful menu with a selection for everyone, including a great kids and seniors menu.

The Seasonal Restaurant pride themselves on the fact that "Seasons is a fully licensed venue and has a changing wine list throughout the year of local wines provided by Olinda Cellars."

"Enjoy a delicious meal in the warm and friendly restaurant, or sitting on our glorious terrace above the gardens. The inclusion of a new kitchen garden at Cloudhill has been a great inspiration for us as we continue to create dishes reflective of fantastic seasonal and local produce."

Maybe try to the swordfish served on a Cypriot grain salad and spiced yoghurt. My mouth is watering.

Is that enticing or what? I can't improve on that except to sit down and enjoy. We took family and friends, booked a big table with lovely views down to the garden, and we all tried different things. All scrumptious looking and tasting.

The wait staff know their wines and can make some lovely suggestions. So don't be shy of asking what might be the perfect wine to compliment your food choices.

And do not feel rushed. Enjoy the view, whether inside and toasty warm or in their lovely alfresco dining areas. Again, the views are stunning looking out over the valley and into the gardens. Spring is full of colour and a treat to the eyes at this restaurant.

Dishes and wines are reasonably priced, so they will not break the bank. And the drive to and from is stunning with the ferns and graceful stunning trees surrounding the winding road.

And if you are an avid gardener, don't forget this is a full nursery as well with rare plants and bulbs available via the Digger's Club.
So if you are looking for that special plant, you have found the mother load. Weddings, anniversaries, birthday parties, all would be celebrated in style at this lovely venue, so put it at the top of your pick for party venue list.

You will want to walk off that lovely fare in the gardens. Here is a sneak peek:
