Seasons Aged Care has a well-deserved reputation as a leading provider of both independent and supportive living to its residents. On the 21st of April, Seasons Redbank Plains is hosting a great free fete at their facilities in Argyle Street. It'll be well worth going along to experience all of the fantastic food and entertainment on offer.
There will be a wide range of food available, such as ice cream, mini pancakes, fairy floss, snow cones, a sausage sizzle and high tea & scones. Some of the food stalls will cater for people with dietary restrictions (it's best to confirm this on the day).
After you've filled up on sustenance, stretch those legs and have a look at the many stalls and attractions. The Men's Shed will be on hand to provide information on who they are, as well as a few demonstrations. There will also be a woodworking stall, secondhand clothing, cakes and plants for sale, as well as a face-painting station for the kids.
Topping this off will be a fantastic exhibition of vintage cars from owners in the local community.
If you feel like just sitting back and relaxing, there's plenty of entertainment booked. Singer Jack James will be there, and you may have already seen him around at similar events around Brisbane and Ipswich. Renowned locally, he'll be pumping out your favourite easy listening hits, as well as his own original music.
Children will be captivated by the Stilt Walker, and there will also be Rock'n'Roll dancers performing.
There's a few options for travelling to this part of Redbank Plains. There will be some limited street parking outside the venue, and you should also be able to secure a park in the surrounding streets.
Check Translink's Journey Planner to see if there is an option for public transport (buses 524 and 526 stop about 400 metres away).
So come along to the fete, explore the markets, and relax to the sounds of the live music.
